EXCLUSIVE: Hadia Ghaleb Launches Debut Eyewear Collection

When Dubai-based Egyptian internet princess and fashion guru Hadia Ghaleb launched her inclusive UAE-based eponymous label in April of 2022, she swiftly became one of the internet’s most polarising figures in Egypt and the Middle East. While navigating a tumultuous digital presence has proved detrimental to many, for Ghaleb it was the fuel she needed to keep going.

New collections, bedazzled buses, flagships stores, and even a reality show later, Ghaleb is not pulling any brakes. For her latest venture, the Egyptian entrepreneur has decided to introduce something new. Launching a series of neo-futuristic frames drawing inspiration from iconic pop culture references all the way to the literal cosmos, Ghaleb has swiftly stepped into a new game-changing era with her debut unisex eyewear collection ‘Hadia Ghaleb Eyewear 1.0’.

Featuring six different oversized frames in a variety of colour options, crafted from top-tier acetate and premium metal accessories, the collection is not one for the faint of heart. “This is a collection for people who want to express their individuality,” Hadia Ghaleb shares with SceneStyled. “I really wanted to push the boundaries of traditional eyewear with this debut collection. These pieces aren’t just accessories, they’re statements.” Ghaleb adds.

Hanum

The Hanum frames feature the Arabic letter 'h', symbolising both Ghaleb's name and the Arabic word for 'elegant lady.'

Ghaleb 1.0 

A distinctive frame with metal accents and the phrase ‘The mould prevails,’ this design also nods to the Ghaleb’s last name, and emphasises that true style is defined by the wearer.

Eclipsa

Eclipsa offers an oversized frame designed for maximal sun protection and a dramatic style, its bold silhouette reminiscent of a solar eclipse.

Neptune

Neptune stands out as the highlight of the collection, featuring a distinctive temple design that extends beyond the frame. 

Nebula

The Nebula frames showcase lightning-shaped temples with a bold logo. This avant-garde design captures an otherworldly aesthetic.

Matrix

An homage to the cult classic ‘99 movie, the Matrix frames reference the main character Neo’s own iconic shades.
