Alexandrian Footwear Label Zee Drops New “Instinct” Winter Collection
Alexandrian footwear label Zee launches “Instinct” Calidas and Loafers built for all-day motion, comfort and subtle edge.
Zee, the Alexandria-born footwear label, steps back into frame with a new campaign introducing two silhouettes: the Animal Print Calidas and the Zee-Loafers – both made for movement, both refusing to choose between comfort and style.
“Our designs are built around how people move; emotionally, mentally, physically,” says founder and CEO Noureldin Kassem. That thinking shows up in the details. The Animal Print Calidas are the pair you slip on for early coffee runs that somehow stretch into late-night plans, their bold pattern adding a fun, slightly feral twist. The Zee-Loafers go quieter: clean, minimal, the kind of shoe you wear when you want to feel grounded but still look sharp.
For the campaign, Zee wanted the shoes in their natural habitat – on real people, in real motion. The brand tapped two Egyptian creatives: architect Adham Shawkii, a name behind some of Cairo’s new-wave spaces, and Hana Shawki, model, stylist, and social media presence with a feed that moves as fast as she does.
Adham’s day is steady and inward-facing: quiet coffee, journaling, then scooting his way through Cairo’s streets to the office. Hana mirrors the charge of the Animal Print Calidas – quick steps, fit checks, side chats, bouncing between shoots, fittings, and friends. For Zee, the pairing nails the brief. “Together, they define instinct: one moves inward, one moves outward,” the team explains.
The result is a campaign that feels more like a day-in-the-life diary than a traditional fashion story. It’s a visual footnote to the brand’s ongoing motto, “Making Moves”: honouring every form of motion, whether grounded, erratic, or somewhere in between.
