Adidas Unveils New Mohamed Salah F50 Elite Boots Ahead of AFCON

Adidas just dropped a new signature F50 Elite colourway for Mohamed Salah, created in collaboration with Egyptian designer Abdelrahman Galal, professionally known as Abdu Galal. The killer kicks represent Galal’s second collaboration on a boot designed specifically for the Egyptian forward."

“Designing a second boot for Mo, especially right before AFCON, feels just as surreal as the first, another career-defining moment I'll treasure forever," Galal said. "Grateful to be part of this story, and deeply grateful to the team who brought it to life.”

The boot reflects both Salah’s status on the pitch and Galal’s long-standing ambition to connect football with Egyptian cultural identity. In a post shared on Instagram, Galal wrote, “Most kings are chosen. A rare few are earned. As an Egyptian and a football fan I've always hoped to connect these two worlds in a single product story. And who better to represent that connection than the Egyptian King himself.”

Inspired by the mythology surrounding the Curse of the Pharaohs, the boot features a white base referencing royal Egyptian textiles, paired with metallic gold detailing intended to echo pharaonic treasures and desert light. Hieroglyphic motifs spelling out “Mo Salah” and “Egyptian King” appear across the upper, heel, outsole and insole, forming a repeating graphic that runs throughout the design. Galal described the concept by grounding it in Salah’s on-field impact, noting, “We start with Mo's facts: defenders fall. Goalkeepers fail. Records break. Titles won. What really happens when you face the Egyptian King?”

Unlike Galal’s previous one-off ‘Wings of Liverpool’ custom boots made exclusively for Salah, this F50 Elite colourway is being released commercially and is available through selected retailers and the Adidas website.

Salah is expected to wear the boots during Egypt’s opening AFCON match against Zimbabwe on December 22nd. Sharing his support ahead of the tournament, Galal added, “Bring it home Mo."
