Okhtein Introduces SS’24 Garden Collection Vol. II

Tropical Arab gardens served as the backdrop and the inspiration for this mindfully tranquil collection.

As spring and summer are slithering in, Egyptian label Okhtein has dropped a sizzling SS’24 collection as hot as the weather on a sweltering June day. In the second volume of their ‘Garden’ collection, the luxury bags and accessories brand releases nine new styles in a wide variety of hues and shades.

Okhtein’s collection is inspired by the Arabian gardens, reflecting their serenity, breathtaking beauty and the tranquil juncture that flutters in between moments. An observational beauty, Arab gardens are always a carefully-curated affair of symmetry, water fountains, still pools and grandeur architecture. Okhtein encapsulates this through the Arab blossom design that decorates their pieces, an ode to the mindful stillness and inner exploration fostered by these paradisiacal retreats. The brand also took cues from a painting on an ancient Egyptian tomb fragment, depicting Nebamun's Estate Garden in Thebes, Egypt.

This coveted edit of handbags and wallets redefines the notion of modern style for the self-loving, empowered women. The collection’s bags are adorned with sacred geometry, creating a delicate balance between tradition and contemporary taste and reflecting the enduring beauty and universal charm of the Arab garden. Classic colours like black, silver, and gold are presented alongside trendy shades of orange, olive green, and petrolio, which embodies Okhtein’s design philosophy of "two worlds intertwined."

Founders Mounaz and Aya's vision for Okhtein revolves around a complete lifestyle experience and not just fashion. It’s about identity, style and vision for a lifestyle, as they exclusively told SceneStyled. ‘Garden Vol. II’ infuses Okhtein’s core ethos with a celebration of Egypt’s culture and local artisans through their meticulous craftsmanship. As the name suggests, Okhtein is devoted to the value of sisterhood, which is mirrored in every hardware intertwined with the soft yet solid form of the handbags. This multifaceted appeal is highlighted by the launch of several new designs, as well as the brand’s signature surrealist palmette motif, featured prominently throughout collections.

The collection boasts many new additions, including the Bangle Clutch, the Mini Duo Bucket Bag, the Mini Shopper, the Mahogany Bag, the Puffed Oak Bag, the Lotus Clutch, the Lotus Shoulder Bag and the Dome Clutch. Not only bags, Volume II also features a wallet style on brass and pochettes in various colours.

This collection is available in the region via Ounass, online and across their stores in Egypt.
