Nashwa Jewellery’s Winter Drop is a Snowball Made of 925 Silver Magic
Beyond seasonal sparkle, Nashwa’s winter capsule honours the art of gathering—crafted in tactile sterling silver and gemstone colour for those who gift, and live, with intention.
As 2025 drew to a close, Nashwa Mostafa’s eponymous jewellery brand capped off a year marked by visible placements and collaborations. The brand styled Amina Khalil at the El Gouna Film Festival, partnered with Watar Hassas to design colourful gemstone pieces worn by Injy El Mokadem and Ghada Adel, and continued to appear across public-facing cultural moments. Rather than ending the year quietly, Nashwa introduced a new capsule collection centred on the idea of the hostess.
The collection was released during the holiday period but was not conceived as a seasonal drop. According to Mostafa, it was not designed to align with winter or festive dressing, but to focus on the figure of the hostess as both giver and organiser. The concept reframes the act of hosting as labour - selecting, preparing, and facilitating - and positions the collection as a response to that role rather than to a calendar moment.
The Muse
The Meet the Hostess campaign was developed as a four-part visual series depicting women preparing gatherings: arranging tables, choosing gifts, and setting scenes. The campaign also introduced a limited-edition leather jewellery case, produced in a soft pink tone with a velvet interior, included with the collection’s pieces. The case was designed as a reusable object rather than seasonal packaging.
The Pieces
At the centre of the collection is the ‘snowball’ motif, developed as a textured, dimensional form intended to be tactile. The design is executed using two-tone metalwork, combining rhodium-plated and gold-plated finishes to emphasise contrast and depth. The pieces are intentionally weighty, with surface detailing that is meant to be felt as much as seen.
Alongside these are designs that continue the brand’s established use of coloured stones, including pieces such as the Evergreen pearl necklace and the Twilight Frost bangle. These designs follow existing Nashwa Jewellery silhouettes and stone settings, maintaining continuity with previous collections.
The Material
The collection is produced primarily in 925 sterling silver. Customisation remains available through the brand’s atelier at Golf Central Mall, Palm Hills, where clients can request versions in gold, diamonds, or alternative stones. All pieces are handmade, a process Mostafa maintains as central to the brand’s production model.
The Verdict
This capsule extends a year of steady output rather than signalling a shift in direction. It adds a new thematic layer to Nashwa Jewellery’s catalogue while retaining the brand’s established materials, techniques, and visual language. The collection focuses on use, process, and form, and is designed to sit outside seasonal cycles while remaining consistent with the brand’s existing body of work.
