Monochrome Monday: The Columbia Blue Edition
From skirts with personality to classic heeled sandals, Columbia blue does not take the backseat.

Columbia blue has long been cast as a background colour - soft, safe, and largely decorative. But this season’s edit makes the case for its understated strength. Anchored in texture, structure, and thoughtful detailing, these pieces show how a pale hue can carry real visual weight.
Marmar Halim leads the way with a satin-like off-shoulder gown, where internal wiring gives the hand-pleated bodice shape without stiffness. Chopova Lowena’s Sam Cat Ballast skirt - crafted from recycled textiles and anchored by a hefty carabiner clasp—takes preppy pleats and gives them punk energy. Abadia’s Lulu mini dress, in a pearlescent fabric with a subtle drop waist, leans into asymmetry for movement and light.
Elsewhere, the colour finds its edge in accessories. Yuzefi’s Pretzel bag, made from smooth leather and finished with a sculptural twist, is as functional as it is artful. Roberi & Fraud’s Doris 2.0 sunglasses bring a retro rectangular silhouette in a translucent blue acetate. For embellishment, Oscar de la Renta’s raffia and beaded floral earrings offer handworked intricacy, while L’Atelier Nawbar’s gold and enamel Bond Street pendant adds crisp architectural detail.
Rounding out the palette are versatile staples: Duha’s DAMA sandals, with their sturdy block heel and supple leather straps, and Daar Dahlia’s Farm Girl top, cut from structured cotton and designed to be worn multiple ways.
