Iraqi-Egyptian Brand Suez Releases Stripped-Back Linen Summer Line
Suez Studio’s summer collection brings together four interchangeable linen and cotton looks, featuring wide-leg trousers, striped shirts and new crochet-trimmed sets.
Iraqi-Egyptian label Suez Studio has unveiled its latest summer collection, a linen and cotton line comprising four interchangeable looks. Founded by Serag Elmeleigy in 2021, the brand has built its identity around contemporary designs informed by Egyptian textile heritage, using locally sourced fabrics and reinterpretations of traditional embroidery techniques.
“For this collection we wanted to strip it back and create really wearable summer pieces," founder Serag Elmeleigy tells SceneStyled. "We took note from what worked in our previous AW collection and continued with the fabrics and shapes that were popular. We produced four looks that were timeless and effortless for the customer."
Using lightweight, natural fabrics, the collection balances precise tailoring with the brand's signature handcrafted detailing. Each piece is designed to be worn together or styled separately, making versatility a central focus throughout the collection.
The new line also highlights Suez Studio's attention to detail and inventive design approach. “The crochet-detail black shirt has a split seam on the front body panels, creating an open vent," Elmeleigy explans. "The two panels are joined together using a machine that creates a small vent on each side, a detail we really like. It also provides some natural ventilation."
Designed as a complete summer wardrobe, the collection includes wide-leg linen trousers, striped woven linen shirts and updated versions of some of the label's best-performing pieces:
“We produced two new colourways of our crochet-trim linen track sets, which did really well last time," Elmeleigy says. "Everything can be dressed up or down really easily. There's a variety of beautiful textures and fabrics that we're really happy with."
The collection is now available through Suez Studio's website.
