Egyptian ready-to-wear label Alia Abaza has unveiled its FW ’24 collection, Eden Garden. “The collection captures the essence of past decades while embracing today’s rhythm,” Alia Abaza, the founder and designer of the eponymous label, tells SceneStyled.
Eden Garden is a love letter to timeless fashion codes, reinterpreted for the modern woman. It merges vintage silhouettes—trench coats, retro shirts, and high-waisted trousers—with experimental details like laser cuts, paisley paneling, and dual-fabric contrasts.
The Muse
Inspired by the “canvas of nature,” the FW ’24 collection draws directly from nature’s color palette. Patchwork designs and printed patterns reflect shades reminiscent of autumn foliage and riverbanks—muted lilac, cream, and charcoal tones, complemented by deep green and soft sage accents.
“The collection evokes a sense of memory, yet feels perfectly at home in the modern fashion landscape,” Abaza explains. “It’s a nostalgic collection where the past and present meet.” Classic shapes, vintage-inspired fabrics, and retro patterns are reimagined through contemporary cuts. Abaza’s signature patchwork and interplay of textures elevate these familiar references.
The Collection Dissected
“It all starts with the fabrics. Once they trigger my imagination, the design comes to life,” Abaza explains. For this collection, fabrics were sourced from India, France, Spain, Greece, and Egypt, including velvets, silks, wovens, and wool. Each fabric’s distinctive patterns contribute to the collection’s character.
“The label’s eccentricity lies within the finishing details, such as raw-frayed edges done with a needle, and the mélange of mixing different materials,” Abaza reveals. Leather and denim form the core of each collection, crafted with techniques like laser-cutting and peeling.
Drawing from vintage military and equestrian influences, the collection reimagines their utilitarian elements with a modern, feminine lens. Cropped, boxy sweater silhouettes feel sculptural, while exaggerated wide-leg trousers, cinched with belt ties, exude confidence. Faded polka-dot denim, with a worn, lived-in feel, adds a nostalgic touch, grounding the collection in a personal history.
The Collection in Three Words
“Poetic, powerful, and potent.”
Where to Wear It
From gallery openings and creative workspaces to elegant evening gatherings, these designs fit seamlessly into settings where creativity and art take center stage.
How to Style It
SceneStyled Suggests: The pieces are inherently statement-making, offering versatility for both maximalist and minimalist styling. Pair a textured jacket with tailored trousers for an elevated look, or let a patchwork jacket take center stage with a simple fitted top. Accessories in neutral tones help ground the collection’s rich textures, while boots or sleek heels complete the ensemble.

The Collection’s Stand-Out Pieces:
Among the standout designs is the Paisley Sleeved Top, a statement piece that epitomizes the label's balance of simplicity and boldness. Featuring layered paisley sleeves against a plain base, it transforms a classic silhouette into a statement piece. “This one’s my favorite—I’m a big fan of statement T-shirts,” Abaza shares.
The Laser Cut Trench is another star— a structured but fluid silhouette, rendered in the dreamy muted purple shade. Intricate laser-cutting elevates the trench with the addition of subtle texture and movement, while coordinating wide-leg trousers complete the monochromatic magic.
Abaza also plays around functionality with the sculptural puffer vest, the Eden Garden Puffer Vest. Featuring abstract, nature-inspired prints in dreamy lilac and charcoal hues, the quilted vest showcases the brand’s signature approach to form and texture.
In The Words of Alia Abaza….
“Our pieces offer a unique take on contemporary style, featuring distinctive details designed to draw the eye. Each design is crafted to stand out as the focal point of any outfit.
The Verdict:
Alia Abaza’s collections are a conversation between form and texture: crystal scarf motifs, asymmetrical cuts, and the deliberate clash of tie-dye effects, patchwork, and fringe panels. This season, she remains loyal to her design DNA. The pieces carry a quiet familiarity, yet still surprise with elements like paisley-printed contrast panels, retro ballooned sleeves and 70s-inspired tailoring.
