Saudi artist, actress and director Lina Malaika has joined forces with Hindamme, the Saudi fashion designer known for reworking heritage into contemporary form, on a limited collaboration with Casio’s G-Shock, dropping next week for Saudi National Day. The watch brings calligraphy into dialogue with circuitry, sidestepping the souvenir in favour of a sharper proposition: a cultural artefact that treats tradition as material for reinvention.
