Monochrome Monday: Honey Yellow

Beige has never really left fashion, but the beige of now looks noticeably warmer. The cooler creams and greiges of minimalism are giving way to shades touched with yellow, caramel and sand, bringing colour back into the neutral wardrobe without abandoning its ease. Honey Yellow sits perfectly in that in-between. It is not quite beige and not quite yellow, which is precisely what makes it so useful. Against skin, leather and natural fabrics, it has a warmth that a conventional neutral often lacks.

Perhaps that is why the shade works across such different fashion registers. It can make tailoring feel less corporate, soften the formality of occasionwear, and give leather the richness of something already beautifully worn in.
