Kuwaiti Hamsa by Sharifa AlGhanim Releases Three Collections for SS24
Hamsa revives traditional craftsmanship in contemporary clothing, showcasing the enduring traditions of Arabian culture.
Hamsa, a Kuwaiti-based brand founded by Sharifa AlGhanim that celebrates the modern Arab woman, has released three collections reflecting those values for Spring/Summer 2024.
AlGhanim, an antique collector with a diverse sense of style, yearned to incorporate her appreciation for heritage into everyday wear. This passion ignited the birth of Hamsa, a brand forged on intricate handwork with a hint of contemporary style. Hamsa stands out by reviving traditional craftsmanship, showcasing the enduring traditions of Arabian culture while strengthening their presence in the modern world.
This season, Hamsa presents three distinct collections, each exploring a crucial facet of the brand's identity. The first collection that dropped, ‘Evening’, exudes elegance and sophistication, bringing another dimension of glitz and glam to kaftans and dresses. Flowing dresses and sets crafted with luxurious fabrics and intricate details make a statement for any special occasion, adorned with prints, accessories, hooded sleeves and bold embellishments.
The ‘Casual’ collection meanwhile offers comfortable and stylish pieces perfect for everyday wear. Hamsa's signature handwork and modern silhouettes elevate the meaning of casual attire, and explores a more bold and diverse colour palette.
The latest drop, ‘Dune’ is an equestrian-inspired collection, featuring captivating prints depicting horses running free in the desert. The collection's intricate details hone in on the equestrian world, concretizing the beauty and grace of these majestic creatures, through muted neutrals and unconfined outlines.
