House Babylon, the Egypt-based homeware label known for pared-back essentials and a tactile approach to everyday rituals, is opening its first store in El Gouna. The space brings together the brand’s core collections including bedding, towels, robes, and loungewear.
The opening extends House Babylon’s ongoing interest in how domestic objects shape the tempo of life at home. To translate that sensibility into a physical space, the design leans on light, texture, and restraint, inviting visitors to slow down and notice small details rather than move quickly from shelf to shelf.
As designer Farah Khafagi shares, “I let the space stay a little imperfect, like a home that has grown over time. Materials are chosen for how they age, light is allowed to rest instead of impress, and objects are placed the way hands might leave them, not the way a display demands.”
