 The SceneStyled Rama Duwaji Edit

Syrian artist Rama Duwaji — now New York City’s youngest First Lady — has developed a visual and sartorial language that sits comfortably beside her public life. Her background in illustration, especially her work centering Arab women, threads quietly through the choices she makes in front of and away from the camera.

She builds many of her looks directly with regional designers. With Lebanese label Renaissance Renaissance, she leans toward pieces with measured volume and architectural restraint. Her work with Palestinian designer Zeid Hijazi takes her into sharper silhouettes — structured jackets, defined lines, custom pieces shaped through ongoing collaboration. The results are practical, specific, and entirely her own.

This edit follows that same logic. Each look is drawn from the way she actually dresses: tailored separates, clean shapes, one detail that shifts the mood, and regional designers at the centre of the story.

Zeid Hijazi | Kalt Dress

A black crepe maxi inspired by brutalist architecture, with a halter neck and open back. By Zeid Hijazi — the same designer Rama wore on election night when Zohran Mamdani won the NYC mayoral race.

Peter Do | Soft Kiko Top

A soft top with buttons all over, meaning you can wear it a hundred different ways. Minimal, smart, and versatile.

Jean Paul Gaultier x Lotta Volkova | 3D Cleat Heels

3D-printed rubber heels with multiple heels on one shoe. Loud, strange, and unapologetic.

Ellisar | Monobloc Necklace

A monobloc chair, but make it jewelry. Crafted from recycled sterling silver or 18k gold vermeil, this piece turns a very familiar object into something personal.

Vintage Issey Miyake | Satin Floral Set

A chic archival moment. Satin mixed with soft chiffon draping and floral appliqués throughout. Fluid, textured, and the kind of set that does all the work on its own.
