Palestine's Ayham Hassan Joins Dries Van Noten’s First Foundation Show

Palestinian designer Ayham Hassan will feature in “THE ONLY TRUE PROTEST IS BEAUTY,” the inaugural exhibition by the Fondazione Dries Van Noten, opening on 25 April 2026 at Palazzo Pisani Moretta during the 61st Venice Biennale.

Curated by Dries Van Noten in collaboration with Geert Bruloot, the presentation examines beauty as a site of exchange between tradition and experimentation, bringing together fashion, craft, and material-focused practices.

Hassan will present his collection, IM-Mortal Magenta, described as a colour that does not exist. The work explores space and material through a process-driven approach, placing emphasis on construction and perception rather than fixed form. His pieces will be shown alongside archival designs from Comme des Garçons and Christian Lacroix.

“THE ONLY TRUE PROTEST IS BEAUTY” runs from 25 April to 4 October 2026 at Palazzo Pisani Moretta in San Polo, Venice.
