Monochrome Monday: White Smoke
This week's edit proves white has nowhere to hide — and that's exactly the point.
White Smoke is where summer clothes have to prove themselves. A dress cannot rely on drama alone, a set cannot hide behind styling, and a swimsuit has to make its case through cut rather than colour. In a lineup built mostly around warmer-weather pieces, the palette depends on fabric, proportion, and finish - the things that separate a good white look from something that simply looks unfinished.
That is why this edit works. The strongest pieces here understand that white needs construction, not caution. Marmar Halim and Anippe give it structure, The Concept and Abadia give it movement, and Karla Colletto takes it back to the kind of swimwear that only works when the cut is doing its job. Andrea Wazen, Karen Wazen, and Alaïa finish the lineup with accessories that keep the palette exact rather than empty. White Smoke is not about looking simple. It is about having nothing to hide behind.
