Known for his erratic perspective, graffiti artist Toxik applied his distinctive art style to this melodic collection.

As emotions run wild in pursuit of fashionable progress only the most evocative amongst us are capable of reigning supreme. It is only those whose designs propel emotional responses and devour mundane closets that end up withstanding the test of time and producing illimitable staple pieces. In prances local label Be-Indie’s collaboration with graffiti artist Toxik, The Bottom Fly. An eight piece limited edition collection, the collaboration pushes garment creation to its fullest logical extent by displaying an array of daring designs.

“I wanted to try something that dives into the realm of art,” Toxik tells Scene Styled. “Something that showcases the technical side of art and allows me to create masterful pieces.Be-Indie is one of the very few Egyptian high-end brands and so part of their messaging is always catering to that clientele and so it’s so different to them to have such a rugged form of street-born art on their clothes.”

Toxic’s work is often a direct reflection of his fleeting thoughts, and so the artist applied that same erratic perspective when composing the melodic collection. As someone who doesn’t quite ascribe to the notion that things need to possess deeper meanings, Toxik’s entire contribution focused on igniting emotions and channeling his own to produce something nuanced and evocative.

The in-store activation comes as part of Be-Indie’s artist series and marks the second creative collaboration after Naila Marei. The limited edition in-store activation is available at Be-Indie’s flagship store in Arkan Plaza.
