A true labour of love, Abeer’s is the newly-launched online store designed to pay homage to the fragrances that shaped everyone’s upbringing. Having sourced their oils from France, Abeer’s handcrafts every bottle, fragrance and scent mixture from the comfort of their own homes. Integrating nostalgic notes of musk, oud and baby powder into their line, the brand hopes to ignite comfort and a sense of serenity within their clientele upon use.
The brand originated as a testament to the power of remarkable craftsmanship. “My mum, Abeer, grew up with a passion for fragrance making,” Farah Daker, Marketing and Operations Manager at Abeer’s, tells CairoScene. “She travelled the world, Paris, Dubai and Italy included, and took courses to help her create notable and meaningful scents that withstand the test of time.”

With strong sillage, Abeer’s managed to garner a regional client base throughout its meagre existence. Since its launch in October of 2022, what was intended as a batch-based business quickly shifted gears due to an undying slew of demands. “People were buying entire stocks of our scents,” Daker continues. “We were getting eccuring comments about how our fragrances  always reminded them of bygone eras and the scents they grew up loving and accustomed to.”

Their ‘Petite’ line - a duo designed to mimic the scent of freshly-bathed babies - instigated many unexpected airport interactions for Daker and, in turn, became the brand’s bestseller. Concept stores, such as Garden 8’s ‘Story’ ushered in the brand and worked to create a custom Christmas fragrance dubbed ‘Jingle Bells’ as part of an exclusive in-store offering.
