Saudi ready-to-wear label 1886 has launched at London's Selfridges, bringing one of the Kingdom's homegrown fashion brands to one of the world's best-known luxury department stores.

Founded in Riyadh in 2016, 1886 has built a reputation for contemporary ready-to-wear spanning tailoring, denim, knitwear and outerwear. Designed for everyday wear, its collections combine clean silhouettes with quality craftsmanship while presenting a distinctly Saudi perspective to an international audience.

The story of 1886 began while founders Fahad Aljomiah and Khalid Aljammaz were studying in London. The pair developed the idea for the brand from their university dorm rooms, numbered 18 and 86, which inspired the name that would later become one of Saudi Arabia's first homegrown ready-to-wear fashion labels.

By joining Selfridges' curated selection of international fashion brands, 1886 expands its reach to the department store's global customer base while adding another Saudi label to one of the industry's most influential retail destinations.
