The Many Ramadan Characters of Egyptian Actress Dina El Sherbiny

Over the years, Dina El Sherbiny has featured prominently in Egypt’s Ramadan drama cycle for over a decade, with roles extending from period productions to contemporary thrillers. From the period drama Grand Hotel (2015) to contemporary series including Malika (2018), Zay El Shams (2019), Lebet El Nesyan (2020), Qasr El Nile (2021), Akher Dor (2022), and Kamel El Adad (2023), each production carried a distinct visual framework.

By the end of Grand Hotel (2015), styling reflected 1950s fashion codes, with structured dresses, gloves and polished silhouettes. Malika (2018) and Zay El Shams (2019) marked a shift toward modern tailoring, incorporating shorter hemlines, blazers and layered separates. Lebet El Nesyan (2020) introduced textured fabrics and deeper colour palettes, while Qasr El Nile (2021) returned to 1960s-inspired precision. In Akher Dor (2022), costuming moved toward practical, understated clothing, followed by Kamel El Adad (2023), which adopted more relaxed, eclectic styling.

With Etnen Gherna (2026) adding another title to her Ramadan portfolio, her roles over the past decade chart an evolution in both character portrayal and costume direction.

Grand Hotel (2015)

In Grand Hotel, El Sherbiny appeared in 1950s-inspired attire, including a structured white dress paired with black gloves and a matching handbag. Her softly styled hair complemented the formal silhouette.

Malika (2018)

In Malika, wardrobe choices reflected a contemporary aesthetic, including a short skirt styled with a flowing top and structured blazer, finished with a shoulder bag.

Zay El Shams (2019)

A short frilled dress layered beneath an oversized jacket defined the look, balancing tailored outerwear with softer elements.

Lebet El Nesyan (2020)

An emerald-toned dress with subtle ruffle detailing introduced a more romantic visual direction, paired with loose curls and minimal accessories.

Qasr El Nile (2021)

Channeling 1960s silhouettes, she wore a long-sleeved mustard midi dress with bow detailing at the neckline, styled with a sleek bob.

Qasr El Nile (2021)

Another look from the series featured a black shift dress with a contrasting white collar, aligned with mid-century styling references.

Akher Dor (2022)

Costuming in Akher Dor shifted toward casual, everyday wear, including neutral-toned overalls layered over a simple top.

Kamel El Adad (2023)

In Kamel El Adad, styling adopted a more relaxed approach, incorporating layered outerwear and longer, loosely styled hair within a contemporary domestic setting.
