Naglaa Fathi, born in 1951 in Cairo, Egypt, is a beloved figure in Arabic cinema. With a career spanning over five decades and more than 80 performances, Fathi has captured the hearts of audiences with her charm and versatility. She’s known for her roles in Egyptian classics like ‘Hob w Kebreyaa’,’ ‘Okhti,’ and ‘Ozkorini’. Her rise to fame began in the late 1960s, with her striking beauty and emotional depth allowing her to take on a wide variety of characters, from lead roles in dramas to more complex parts in films with social and political themes, like ‘El-Garage,’ which explored issues of overpopulation and poverty. She also ventured into production, launching her own company, where she produced ‘Supermarket’ and wrote the screenplay for ‘Ghaddan S’Antakem’.
