When Egyptian designer Amina Galal teamed up with musicians Ahmed Basyoni and Hussein Gamal for their ‘Bad Boy’ album debut at MDLBeast’s Soundstorm in Riyadh, the stage ignited with bold, custom looks that shouted “ana 3awez adamar el donia.”

“The goal was to create two looks that captured each of their identities, while still feeling cohesive,” Galal explains, capturing Basyoni’s playful vibe with Gamal’s alternative one. For Gamal, the designer created a modern, tailored black jacket with a minimalist yet futuristic aesthetic. Light gray vertical paneling across the front adds a sleek, architectural contrast to the dark fabric, while an asymmetrical strap detail drapes diagonally across the chest and torso, introducing a functional, edgy touch to the design.

Basyoni’s jacket, emblazoned with the phrase “ana 3awez adamar el donia” (“I want to mess up the world”) and a gecko emblem from the duo’s first music video, summed up the energy of their songs perfectly. “He kept saying it over and over during our meeting,” Galal recalls, “and eventually I thought, why not just print it on his jacket?”

Performing on the DWN Beast stage alongside names like Jason Derulo, G-Eazy, and regional stars like Bayou and Zeyne, Basyoni and Gamal made sure their style hit just as hard as their music. With tracks like ‘Makontesh Motmaken’ and ‘Ma Tegy Nergaa’ firing up the crowd, the pressure was on to deliver outfits that embodied their sound, and Galal didn’t miss.
